Hello Crew,I own a '73 R75/5 and a '76 R90S latter I'm awaiting to arrive from California,.. so Ks are a new thing to me. After delivering an '88 K100RT from Sydney to Cairns, some 3,000kms, I fell for their smooth comfortable ride and big bike feel. So just last week I picked up my new aquisition, a very tidy '88 K100LT with 36,000kms which I have posted some photos of on this Forum. I'm sure this forum is full of knowledge & expertise on these bikes from which I might learn abit. Cheers Jeff. Wink

At least we are on the same planet but at antipodean ends.


I love the two Rs, remember vividly the launch of the R90s, it was a stunner. But you will get to love the K too. I am kind of trying to work out a long trip on the K, they are really well up to it, comfort is fantastic, particularly the LT!!

The site is fantastic and it will hopefully lead to you meeting up with some local to Australia K owners.

Ringo Harrison or was it George McCartney?

I must admit I ended up thinking of Willy Nelson......[a great songwriter] until I was reminded of Thomas the Tank Engine. That must be what retired drummers do.....Still the K had not been invented when those stories came out so I suppose oily steam engines were the next best thing.

Enjoy the site.

I have this feeling if I travelled anywhere there would be a meet up with a few local K owners so no one need ever feel lonely again, or stranded!!!!!
