Hi all
I want to replace my ugly exhaust - best options seem to be the Motad (nice and shiny), Remus (best sound/performance) or MAC(used by k100 racing)
Could anyone recommend or has experienced these makes

Advice appreciated.............Smile

Colin

I like my Motad, although it's not a rumbler and didn't improve the subjective sound quality or increase performance much. It's a good build, and can be found for not a lot of dosh if one looks. Mine was about AU$300 delivered back in early '10.

Remus are nice, have spotty weld quality, produce a good sound, and might give you a coupla ponies extra throughout the rev range, but they cost too much for me, even though I work in the biz.

Mac are cheap, basic, have an average finish, but where can you get 'em anymore? Once in a while someone pops up on eBay with a listing for a too-specific '86/'87 fitment - which we know will fit all post-round exhaust hanger 8V models.

Have you checked out the 'Zorst' thread here for homegrown, alternative exhaust options done in OZ.

TWB may think that the Motad doesn't sound much better than the square monster but I have travelled behind and although not as loud as a Staintune it is still a very nice note.

In the spirited manner you ride your moto I didn't think you'd been behind me that much!  Wink

Hi Colin,
I've had a Motad on my solo for 23 years with no problems.

And I've got a brand new one in the loft to go on the outfit..........if I can ever get the original square silencer off!!

Paul.
