Howdy,
Bought a 1986 K100RS two weeks ago, RS fairing is off and in boxes, I am gathering parts to make this bike my own...

I had a 1995 K75, but I had dealership warranty issues and sold the bike in frustration, I loved the thing, so after selling my Triumph Tiger last month the search was on for a K bike.

Welcome Kevin !
Amazing how many new K owners this summer.
I suspect some of them bought their Brick just to access this great forum Wink

Good looking RS.

Thanks for the Welcomes!

It is great getting back on a brick, even if it is 27+ years old.
To seal the deal with my wife I told her it was a 1986 BMW, we were married in 1986, so it has a "Special Meaning" to me...
She did not fall for it and reminded me her F650 needs a little updating too.

Thanks!
Unfortunately the muffler is a noisy Luftmeister that is in dire need of repacking!
I would rather have a stock unit.

Cool Kev , pretty loud ? , not too fond of overly loud pipes myself , maybe a Motad ( other Members can vouch for these ) or a Remus ?

It is loud but I have heard worse, it just doesn't have the sound I think a K100 should have.

Thanks!
I am happy to be here, and the more I check out my newly purchased K100RS the more I will appreciate all of you...
Took the air filter box out to run new cables and I think I could build another bike with all the parts down in that area!
