My name is Jim and I am the proud owner of a 1987 K100RS.  It is my first BMW motorcycle, has about 42,800 miles on it.  Bought it from a guy up in York, PA and rode it back down to my place in Alexandria, VA.  Such a wonderful ride!  Just waiting for this ice to vacate so I can get back on the road.

Hi Jim

Welcome to the K bikes....you are in for a treat.

Have a look at the home page and the section on what to do you have just bought a K bike. There are a few things you need to know and everyone is very helpful here, plenty of advice and technical know how. The winter is a good time to get any issues sorted out and to be ready for the spring. Its different for us guys here, we can use the K all year except for occasional ice or snow.

When you get a chance put your serial number and model in the signature as that gives a lot of information. We all love photos of pretty girls K bikes too.

Try to keep the chromed or painted parts on top, the black rubber as far down as possible ? Especialy on ice ! Laughing
