Ive seached through the posts and have found a bit of information but I'm after a top box rack to fit the top of the k1100lt ,top box to carry small lightweight items like a bed roll etc.
Im going to be using this old girl as a long km tourer,so I need to set her up for my best fit. (off to QLD in april for 8 days of riding through Northern NSW etc to see my last uncle in mago tree QLD)
Ive found a few online but all seem to be to big for the k top box, and I cannot seem to find any BMW racks.

again all help appreciated.

I was always used to a top box rack and also looking for one. Same problem.

Anyway in the kitchen last night I suddenly found the solution. I enjoy cooking and baking and suddenly it hit me. One of my cooling racks would make a perfect top box rack. It would need 4 small chrome clamps and 4 small spreader plates on the inside of the lid. Then I looked at some of the trivets for putting hot pots on. Guess what? One of them is also a perfect fit. A lot cheaper too. So have a look in your local cook shop and see what you find. The are all chrome plated and durable.
