Hi all,
Having not owned a bike for some years and ridden occasionally, I picked up a red K100RT last week. There are some minor (mainly cosmetic) issues, but it rides well.
I just have to get used to slow speed manoeuvring a bigger and heavier bike than I have owned before.
I live in Goulburn, NSW, Australia.
I had to get a BMW to keep up with my French son in law who now has his third old BMW of the 4 wheel variety.

Regards,
Bill

Ya, I really like the Baja Red. It's more of a red brown, a beautiful deep dark color. Not so bright as to attract unwanted attention either.

Welcome to the forum.

Enjoy the ride.  Very Happy

I appreciate the welcome, guys.

Just had a ride to Gundagai & back in two days. Already have a throttle friction screw on order to spare my right hand! Otherwise, good easy ride. A proper cruise control might be nice in time.

Nindigully might be a bit far at this stage, but I'm hoping to join the Woollamia ride on the 4th, rossko. Smile Just hope my lack of recent experience doesn't embarrass me too much.

I wasn't sure of the official name of the colour, having seen references to several reds, but your description, AJ, seems to confirm that Baja Red is the colour. It does look good, but there are  few blemishes and it needs a polish. Part of the ongoing process.

Cheers,
Bill

Welcome neighbour
I was through there twice this week on way to/from Snowies, via Gundagai. Scored some top weather.
Seems everyone finds these things a bit ponderous at first, but take it for a spin to Crookwell and back and you'll love it.

Hi Bill , good to have you here .
the Krew here have plenty to offer, if in doubt just ask.
like yourself and many others , I too found the K top heavy on balance , but give yourself some decent ride time and you should settle in well.
find a couple of different sized cul de sacs and have some practice on both left and right turns , this will help sort you out.
and remember a full tank and all that fairing adds to the overbalancing.
very different to the C of G of a cruiser , but give me a K any day.
hope you get to meet a few for the 4th May.
