That's "lifting the front end."

THIS is a wheelie: (K1100LT - not me - just a pic I stumbled across one day.)

I can't find it anymore but there used to be a pic out there of a French cop pulling a MAJOR wheelie on a K75RTP.  Must be nice to ride one if you don't have to worry about the cost of drive train maintenance.

Back to the OP pic post: that does look pretty awesome.

Glad it's not just mine that does this then!

Gave me quite a shock first time it did it.

20 kilos in each pannier and 15 in the top box does it nicely. I go up a hill to get home and the front has lifted for on me if I give it too much. Doesn't take a lot with panniers and top box full. And a lightweight rider. Becky will love that bit!!

Ha ha i do! had an awesome ride out today, hardknott pass in the lake district, just making a thread for it! Did have some issues which we thought was the clutch slipping but dad tested it when we got back and said he couldnt make it slip.... fingers crossed it was just my stumpy fingers stopping me letting fully go of the lever!

I get that effect on fast left handers on the sidecar.  The fuel goes away from the pump and the power gets cut, The comes back in a rush.  I can use this as a fuel level indicator though so its not all bad.

I know the videos speak volumes....but! The last shafty I lifted the front on was a CX500 and all it did was pull to the right and me into the kerb! Has anyone here felt the beast pull either direction when the front up?

Daz.

My K1100 picks the front up quite easily since the K1200 RS cams were put in but I haven't noticed it pull sideways.
I have since taken those cams out as it came up a bit too easily to the point of being unpredictable.

Love the sound of that beast, particular the intake roar...

Im glad I have the "mirror catch me" cables fitted as one always come off when playing boy racer.

Pulling to the right, east west flywheel torque reaction ?

Not so much on the K's I've had as they really don't like it you know, that brick (motor) is way up front there.....

However, my LeMans, Hell yes! She would come down crossed up, you need the appropriate amount of coffee and correct underwear at such a moment....... Shocked

Nah - you just come down hanging off the left side of the bike. Bit o' practice, Mark, bit o' practice. Now go do it on a California... Twisted Evil
