BMW K100 RS 16v ABS
This has been happening for some time now,the ABS lights don't come on when I turn the ignition on.
I have checked fuses and connectors, reset ABS etc. I have just replaced rear disk and pads but this fault was happening before I did this.
I am not sure if there is a separate fuse for the ABS or where else to look. I tried to lock up the rear wheel at the weekend to try the ABS but the bike just stopped and I did not have the hart to try again as I only done about 100 miles on the new disc.

Can you heat the relay clicking? If so the light itself is most likely the problem but if you cant then do a read out of ABS faults. There is a heap sbout it in the downloads section. If you can't access PM Crazy Frog aka Bert and get a password then find if there any faults reading out.
Try locking the rear wheel after you pull the clutch in, you wont hurt a new disc they are used to that sort of thing.
If the ABS is working then you will feel the wheel lock then immediately release but you should not feel a pulse in the pedal.

I can hear the relay clicking when i turn the ignition on, I will check by locking the rear wheel and check the bulb and let you know how it goes. Thanks once again.

I have just found the bulb was the problem, all working OK now. What a pig of a job to get to the bulb, I did not enjoy taking the instrument panel apart as I thought it could be damaged very easily, all went back together OK but next time a bulb goes it might just get left.
