Hi everyone

I received my spare parts order from Motobins which included the rubber seals which attach to the engine cover bolts.
The engine cover bolts have a raised section halfway along the bolt, and the rubber seal is not large enough for the bolt to pass thru.
any advice? i was thinking perhaps soak the rubber seals in boiling water, which might give them more flexibility.

regards
gabriel

Not positive, but I think boiling rubber parts might make them harder rather than softer.

A small smear of silicone grease works well on rubber, available from plumbers merchants, (used for assembling parts with rubber seals).

Otherwise, petroleum jelly (Vaseline) works quite well.

Cheers,
Steve.
