Hi, my name is Mike and I just bought a 1985 K100 Naked in silver two weeks ago. It's in decent condition but is showing its age so when an 87 K100LT donor bike came up on Craigslist, I snapped it up as the price was unbeatable. I'm planning on keeping rotors, bars, other spendy bits and parting out the rest. I'll add some pictures later.

My first order of business is waiting for BMW of Countryside to receive my brake caliper rebuild kits and diaphragms, when I went to flush the brake fluid, the diaphragms dissolved into goo and the lines are full of gunk. It's killing me, 65 degrees and sunny in Chicago and I own TWO bikes but neither will run:)

I also joined the Chicago Region BMW owners ass'n. and they seem like a knowledgeable bunch.

Hi Ya Mike welcome to the Knuthaus. My advice is don't part it out and keep the lot because murphy's law says that whatever you sell will be what you need most.

G'day Mike.

Welcome along. When you are working on your bike, the odd photo never goes astray.
