Replace the ring terminal with a female spade connector that will mate with the pump spade connector.
Make a short piece of wire with a ring on one end and a male spade on the other.
Connect the male of the short wire to the female on the end of the fuel pump supply wire.
Connect the ring to the fuel pump.
When pump fails. Unplug male spades, remove old pump, install new pump and connect female spades on end of pump supply wires to new pump.
Make very sure you use insulated spade connectors.
I like this one, simple and effective.....means you can do all the screw connections outside the tank and just connect the two spade connectors inside. BUT my worry was that if these ever came apart and produce a spark......or is that reason for the insulated spade connectors bit?
