Ill be looking at this on this Saturday coming.

Just looking for any specifics I should check.

Its electrical, the battery is fully charged but there is nothing when I turn the key on.  Its not the ignition switch as there is no power at the ignition switch. All the fuses appear fine.

What is in the circuit that I should check?

Make sure the Battery is realy good, if she shows 12-13 V it doesn't mean she is OK, a cell could still be dead!

The cigarette plug should have power measure that!

I would replace some fuses, could be bad and you don't see it, or measure the fuses with a multimeter.

Have you cleaned the earth contact at the gearbox?

Power to the ignition switch comes directly from the battery B+. The power does not pass thru any fuse or relay BUT it does loop off the starter relay. Pull the relay out and you'd still have power to the ignition. I think there's a connector in there somewhere but I can't remember where. Could be corroded/disconnected??
What's telling you that you have no power at the ignition switch?

Probably the 0.0V reading on the voltmeter measured at the back of the ignition switch when the battery reads 12.7V

Probably a pretty fair indicator.

Running again, it was simply the connector plugging the ignition switch to the loom.

I couldn't explore it during the week as I couldn't pull the tank back due to short fuel hoses.  The lower left fairing needed to be removed to sort the hoses, no time during the week.

Connector sorted, hoses replaced and finally changed the alternator for one that charges properly.

ill be investigating installing a relay to take the high load currents away from the ignition switch and cabling - connectors
no big change to the system but bypassing the now ageing ignition switch ?
