What happened to the red light on the cop bike 3 blue lights look odd..nice green munro behind it too.

Most cop bikes I believe only had blue lights. Small museum but some nice cars and bikes.

I didn't realise this place existed when my son and I rode Tassie in 2015. 
We stopped in at the museum at Bicheno , which was conveniently across the road from the van park we stayed at .

I've seen the K100 police bikes in various light configurations . Alexander McCarthy ( policebikes.com ) might be the best bloke to discuss the history of these.

They use both red and blue lights on the front, and blue on the rear here in South Australia...guess it may be because some folk may be colour blind  notice even their front and side police stickers are different colours in the last pic......must admit it was fun riding an ex cop bike home from auction even tho lights and stickers had been removed you could still see police where the stickers used to be......get up behind cars doing 60+ and then watch the speedo drop back in a hurry lol........last pic also appears that they are traveling the wrong way (by arrows on the road) otherwise they may have seen the sign in the background  saying " do not queue across intersection"?

Doing Bicheno museum today, and Nabiac Motorcycle Museum on the way home. Drove on one of possibly the best motorcycle roads ever yesterday. The Tasman Highway Launceston to Scottsdale then on to St Helens. Except for reduced speed in a few towns marked at 100 KPH and very few advisory speed signs. 160 kilometers of corners and short straights through the hills with more curves and slightly longer straight in the couple of valleys. It would be virtually impossible to get booked for speeding. I loved the fact that even though it was impossible to do 100KPH (except for the valleys)you were allowed to set your own speed. Only saw one bike in our direction a small capacity BMW GS, I pulled over to let him pass, I didn't want to spoil his ride. Four sports bike came from the opposite direction, and not one Police vehicle sighted. Even the final drive down from St Helens to Bicheno was a good non boring drive. The only thing that spoiled the day was I was in the car, but I hate to admit it even that was fun. A couple more piccies, one from yesterday I must have made a wrong turn and ended up in NZ.
