Hi,
I have my 1983 K100 in the garage that I have not ridden for the last 2-3 years. I occasionaly start it up every 3 months or so with a jumper battery. Today when I connected the jumpers the instruments lights did not come on and the crocodile terminals sparked and got hot.I removed the terminals and connected only the external battery to the bike to see if the main battery has a short. The result was the same, I checked: no blown fuses.
Is it possibly a short on the alternator?
Regards
