I just got a 1984 k100 and I am trying to get the bike running. The bike will turn over when I hit the starter but the bike does not fire and the fuel pump fuse blows. Any ideas on why this fuse is blowing?

Yes. The fuel pump is likely seized, and is drawing heavy current trying to spin over. You want to stop now and pull the pump. There is help in the download section on pulling the pump apart and repairing it, even though it looks like it's disposeable.
