Paddy, that is a nice job!  Good to see another brick come back to life.

As Martin mentioned, lots of people build cafe customs, but after a few rides and some photos they move on to another owner or out behind the shed to spend quality time with the weeds.

Personally, I believe that the cafe thing is a way to destroy old bikes to keep the demand for new machines up at the dealers.  The spare body parts are nice, though. 

The worst I can recall was the guy in Mexico City about 7 years ago on Motobrick who chopped up a blue/yellow K1 that was in almost showroom condition with like 15,000 miles.  He picked that bike because he liked the yellow wheels and drive train.  Following that thread was heartbreaking.

On the opposite side to the hip flask I believe it has a leather pocket knife pouch. The fork gaiters are handmade leather. The wheels are painted in metallic to match the bike. He did go into a lot of detail and it does have panniers albeit on the small size. You could do long trips if you motel it.

Cool!  you shoulda let me know you were in the area.  Always nice to meet the inmates.  Next time up here le me know.  I'm about 7 minutes from Maple road.

One of the great things about Bricks is there storage capacity for touring. On the Nabiac 5 day tour I had an overabundance of clothing changes allowing for daily full changes and still had room. Some of the stuff like jeans, cold weather gear and rain gear not needed. On camping trips I can get all the camping gear including a chair into one pannier. On any of our away trips I've never had to strap stuff onto the bike externally.

Those Zero's are pretty nice.  There is a neighbor up the road who has one.  Almost no sound when he goes by.  Just a subtle whirring.

Wanted to post an update on my return to stock build.
I am happy to say that although I am lucky enough to own 2 bikes I have enjoyed approx. 500 miles on the resurrected “K”
