Hi Guys,

What instant gasket type material does everyone recommend? I am looking to seal the camchain casing and water/ oil pump.

Permatex Ultra Black is easily available near me so that's what I've used successfully. The tube of the stuff is 8 years old. Laughing

I use the red Hi-Temp RTV rated to 650 deg F.  It's the same stuff we used on aircraft radial engines and the CHT red lined on those at 245 deg C.

The last time I tried to get a tube of Dri Bond I was met with confused looks. Repco sells it as Three Bond.

Three bond 1207b is available.....not cheap! Approx $60 AUD

I keep mine in the fridge apparently it stops it from going off. The wife has designated me a door shelf for glues and sealants.
