lol I just got  lucky on a bid, the owner said it was in a barn for 10 years and it did not run,  I found the problem was clogged injectors after I change those and a new fuel pump all was good and she was running..

now I pretty much change every thing on it  so not much left of the $400 bike lol

Point Seven-five - you're bitchin' about missing out on the deal.

I want to know how come his wife knew exactly what to buy him for christmas. Surely she had to be coached, given the exact part number and where to get it. And even then, my lovely wife would still stuff it up.

So I manage to act sincere and thank her for the annual resupply of socks and jocks.

Those beefy forks are fire! Is it same to say that we can choose the front end of our liking as long as we change out the bearings and stem? A fabricated stem I assume?

There's all sorts of problems to consider: disc size, distance between discs, caliper mounts - the list goes on. There's a bit more machining in that than GR-Racing is letting on - wheel spindle for example. Also, the proximity of the sliders to the tyre suggests that there's no room for a mudguard if you wanted one.

How much did you spend outside the purchase price of the bike? (very roughly, ball park)
