I've been riding my airheads and oilheads for the last few years. However a recently purchased 1985 K100RT, that needed work, has brought me back into the fold.

The K100RT came with a huge fat seat and an equally huge, though very effective screen.

I much prefer the elegant sloping lines of the screen on the first very RT, and the Euro spec slim seat that was fitted to the same. So that is what I have restored the bike to and I think she looks lovely.

And then this week a 1985 K100RS Motorsport came along my way at a bargain price (needs work). I'll be spoilt for choice when I get her going.

Is the the Baja Red one I saw....for a very good price? I was over your way yesterday too.....

The early seat is not the most comfortable, its the same as the one on my 83 RS....... the one on my 84 RT is a remade seat, there is a guy local to me makes great seats.

You can change to the later seat [or even better a K1100LT seat] if you get a later ducktail and seat hardware.
