Removing fuse 7 (the bottom one) reproduces your symptoms, check it out.

I have this same problem on my '96 K1100RS. What I found is that when the Hazard light switch is on, the indicators won't stay on, ie they cancel when you take your finger of the switch. This means that something in the hazard light circuit is shorting out the indicators.
Sorry, I can't help you past that because I've not bothered to find the fault. With the hazard light switch off it's not a problem.
Not sure if hazard lights are required for rego here in AU but the old girl passes each year.
Cheers Nigel

I spose your horn still works though, especially since it keeps passing the roadworthy.

Maybe the flasher unit is damaged.

If the horns haven't been used in years, they might be jammed shut with rust, pressing the horn button like that a few times too many, might cause the fuse to blow.

One of my bricks (that sat for ten years) had jammed horns, I gave them some taps and shakes and wiggles and got them going again. You might be able to fix them and keep them for spares.

I don't know whether to laugh, cry or just shake my head in disbelief at that pun.
