I'm in the process of removing the instruments to change the odo gears etc. I have the instruments free but I cant get the wiring block off the back of it. I think its just stuck but should check that there isnt a screw or something I need to remove. The photo shows where I am at. Do I just prise it from here?

Pull while wiggling, the connector not your bum. Penetrant spray lube might help free it up.
Regards Martin.

There is a small allen headed bolt in the centre of the two cables, have you loosened it? Picture shows what it screws into.

yep, that was it. I peered into that hole yesterday and didnt pick that it was an allen head. Took the instruments apart this morning and fixed its problems.. Odo gears (Mph to Kmh + 1 broken gear), changed MPH speedo face for a Kmh one, and replaced the clock.

The only problem is that the set of gears I got from Germany didnt have the little one. Luckily the Ali Express ones I got a while back had one the right size. I drilled it out until it was a tight push fit on the little brass fitting from the old one, with a little glue to make sure.
