Had the fuel tank off my K100 for the first time and found what looks like sound or heat insulation stuck to the underside.  Never saw this on my K75S and wondered if it is original or aftermarket?

It's OEM and your K75S had it too when it left the factory.

Thanks Duck. I did not know that - probably because the only time I had a fuel tank off any of my K bikes was when my K75C fuel pump started shutting down in summer. As it was a pre-owned ride the insulation must have been removed by a PO.
