For the last 4 years, I co-organize a meeting between the BMW club of Nova Scotia and the BMW club of Québec.
This is a very interesting week end as Québec is mostly French and Nova Scotia mostly English speaking. We all mingle together and have a lot of fun.
The location is in Grand Falls (New Brunswick, Canada) which is 1/2 way between the 2 provinces and close to Maine (USA). Some riders from BMW Riders of Southern Maine previously joined this private gathering.
This year, I am planning a week off to ride the Gaspé peninsula (North of New Brunswick and Québec) on my way to the meeting.
I would like to invite the forum's North American members to join us (People from down under are welcome too, but this will be a long swim!) . The dates are August 5,6 and 7. We are renting a big cottage sleeping 64 people. There is a meeting room and a large kitchen. A restaurant is at walking distance. Camping spots are also available.
Here are few pictures of one of the meeting. Guess who is replacing the shock on the K75s......
Hope that some of you can make it as it would be an opportunity to finally meet.

The lady with the K75s was coming back from the national rally in Wyoming. She called me about her leaky shock, and we deliver and install a spare one in New Brunswick. She rode well over 5k on this trip.
Remember the story of the biker stranded in Newfoundland and needing a tube for its front wheel? It was delivered (for free) by an helicopter on the parking of the motel.
We don't let people on the side of the road. We give our best support.

Is the North American Meeting still a go? Are the dates of Aug. 5,6,7 still good?
I plan to come up from Pa. for a visit.

What have we started?! That looks like it might be just as much fun as the Urunga gathering a coupla months back. Next up we await news of the UK version. Cheers.

Just come back from 6 days of riding. The BMW gathering was great, but I didn't see anybody from the forum. 3,700 kms of small road in 6 days was a blast.
I will post pics later(too much parties over the last 2 days and I am ready to go to bed). We just rode about 750kms in 6 hours after only a couple of hours of sleep)

My friend and I rode up there from Pa.

Arrived Sat. morning about 10:00. Everyone was out on a ride.

Spoke to elderly couple on a 1200GT. Were invited to spend the night with you folks but we didn't want to wait around till you got back.

Hope the gathering was a success.

This is really too bad.
I knew that you were thinking of joining us but I had not received a confirmation and nobody told me about your visit.
The second wave of riders arriving Saturday were not expected before early afternoon and after an early breakfast, everybody decided to go touring the area. one group went for a short ride (200k) and came back at the rally site after lunch. The other went for a 500k and were back around 5pm.
As you have seen, the site is perfect for a gathering and now that this forum has more members from North America, we should really try to meet there next year.
We had 24 riders staying overnight and the cost per rider was $15 a day. Saturday night was stormy with a slight chance for hail stones. We were able to park all the bikes under a shelter. Not a lot of sites offer the same facilities.

The day before leaving, I installed a bracket on my fairing to mount my Flip video camera on the bike. This is a very high quality product at a decent price ($80). I just converted a small HD video to a basic MPG to show the result. The original format has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels but the quality is degraded during the conversion.
