Hi.
As Arlo Guthrie used to sing

I don't want a pickle
Just want to ride on my motorsickle
And I don't want a tickle
'Cause I'd rather ride on my motorsickle

So I picked up a well used, abused 1985 k100rs.

And the rest is all good clean (may be a bit oily at times )fun. cheers

Its Postie Very Happy

Its only done 90,000 miles but until last week it was leaking fluids from all orifices.
I've never worked on BMs before but I just bit the bullet and got stuck-in.

Crank seal, input and output gearbox seals, new clutch, swing arm bearings and pivot stubs, second/hand shock. All with only one bolt snapping and having to be drilled out.

Its not a very clean machine, but it has potential.

Welcome Postieto the forum with the most. I bet that bolt that had to be drilled out was in the clutch.

Ah. So you spotted my ulterior motive, or rather the results of my internet search, for getting help and info about these, very new to me, motorcycles.
No doubt I'll have lots of questions I'll be posting throughout the forum.

And its great to know that there are people out there that are willing to spend time explaining things to novices like me.

Thanks
