Well folks, I have just finished installing the second hand 16 tooth shaft and final drive. All greased and ready to go. It has been a while since I took it apart and had a question about re-fitting the rear shocky. Where it mounts to the final drive there is a nut and a washer. Does the washer go on the inside against the final drive, then shocky and finally nut or is there nothing on the inside and washer and nut on the outside?

I have the nut and washer on the outside as that is how it looks in the workshop manual I have.😕

You got it right Dave if it is a OEM shockie but a Koni or Ikon has a washer on both sides.

Dave,
It's worth tightening the top fixing first and seeing how the shock sits on the FD. My Spax needed a washer on the inside....just a thought.
Paul.
