Possibly not the right section but my question is when buying a compressor for soda cleaning what are the sort of minimum specs that are needed? Reading around sugestions are the biggest you can afford, which is a good statement but not informative... why spend £1000 when £400 would do the job effectivly, looking around it looks like:

100ltr tank or would 50ltr be sufficent
5hp motor....
6 - 7 CFM (170-200ltrs per min)

I have a 14 cfm and it is good for painting but need one a bit bigger for a soda blast or sand blast I would say 18 - 20 cfm

what is the most important aspect then? is it the flow rate?

here is a link for one that i think may be suitable... any sugestions?

Twincarb this is what I have been using and seems fine though they are pricey you may find a second hand one on ebay though.

Shes good but doesn't look that new anymore its not that exact one but the same size specs and setup etc.

I have just bitten the bullet and have got myself off of ebay a
compressor.... It's a big bugger but it has the umpf to do all i will be
calling upon it to do....

It's a Sealey 2020/3 200ltr will 14cfm Very Happy

Great mines a 14cfm as well plus your tank looks bigger which should also help very well done twincarb abit of cash but a great investment.
