Hi everyone

I've been riding lots of different bikes through the years and then made the mistake of buying a R80GS and that was it I was hooked. I recently bought a 1984 K100RS locally.

True to form every problem it threw at me has been dealt with by the forum, you guys are brilliant!!! Still busy sorting out the teething problems but the old girl goes well.
Just returned from a 2 day 1500Km round trip and I must say I am not unhappy with my brick Greetings from George, South Africa 212902

Thanks for the help I've already gotten and I know that I can count on all of you should I require any more info.

Greetings
Graeme

So after running my K100Rs on a beautifully scenic roadtrip (apologies for lack of photos), she starts misbehaving.

Misfiring, overfuelling and eventually non-starting. After following the advice found in this forum I checked every single possibility. Eventually found fouled spark plug and a dirty airflow meter. Could not work out why there was oil in my airflow meter and why I could not see the oil level in the looking glass.....

After more searching and reading more forum advice the lights finally went on(in my head not the bike) there is too much oil in my bike. Drained out about 800ml and the oil level is now just above the centre of my looking glass and guess what??

I now ride a different beast, the K is silky smooth and no trace of misfiring or any other bad behaviour. Thanks for the great advice to be found here. Surprised-o:

Hi sorry for slow response I only saw the question now.

We don't do too badly with parts either through the dealer network or some specialist BMW parts importers.

Graeme
