Well, it's more of a gear groan type noise (I can hear the teeth), and it goes away when I wind on the throttle and take up the slack, even gently.

Maybe a second problem, not sure, the final drive taps (repeatedly) on take off when the engine is below 1k and it sort of feels loose.

I can't quite tell where the first problem is coming from exactly but I think has more of a presence closer to the engine.

Before I start guessing here, is this a known issue?
