The ignition switch on my 100rs 4v is broken and not working properly i wanted to swap it with a normal universal ignition keys with off/on/accessory options, after wiring everything  to this new ignition switch as per wiring diagrams, i am left out with 2 more extra wires! what are these?? i mean what are they used for i don't rem the colors but one seems to be violet! are these 2 wires really necessary to be connected to any thing??

The red wire is power in from the battery.

The gray wire is 12V power out for the parking light and tail light.

The green wire is 12V power out for items powered through the load shedding relay

The gray/blue wire powers stuff that isn't powered through the load shedding relay. (backlighting, etc...)

The violet wire does nothing on a K100RS4V. (Used on LTs to power the radio.)

The gray/blue wire provides backlighting to the cluster and gauges.  Rather helpful when riding at night.

The blue/gray wire is powered from the light switch, and not the ignition switch.

Easiest way would be green and red switched via the new ignition switch,
and the blue/gray and gray connected permanently outside of the ig. switch.

And where do you think that part of the light switch gets its power? (Hint: The ignition switch.)

No, the ignition switch just connects the tail and park to the blue/gray wire...then these two bulbs is also powered from the light switch.

I am not using the original cluster, I am using a acewell now. So i can leave out the gray blue right, Does it power any thing else other than the back lights of the cluster??

The gray/blue you can leave out if you want....but you need to power the gray wire to the tail/park lamp.

Easiest way would be to connect it to the gray/blue wire IMHO....but of course any wire with switched power would do.

The gray wire, not the gray/blue wire goes to the park/tail lights.

It's correct that the gray wire goes to the park/tail lamps and it's connected to the
gray/blue wire as one pair when the ignition switch is in the "on" position.
And the red and the green wire is connected together as the second pair.

The park/tail lamps got its separate set of contacts because the ignition switch
also got the park light function integrated.

When the ignition switch is in "P" position the tail/park lamps is powered directly
from the battery via the red wire.
When the ignition switch is in "on" position the tail/park lamps is powered from
the light switch via the gray/blue wire.
