Hi all, I have 87 k75 c with Lt. bars that the prev. owner put on, I bought the bike last year and I am just starting to get some miles on it ( 3000) I have tryed to tough it out but I just can't seem to get them right. I have pulled them back almost to the tank, and had them almoust to the shield. each position leaves a pain somewere new, wrist, shoulder, neck. I am 6'2"- 185 .51 years, I also have a corbin touring seat that I like very much, what do others use for bars ? c. s. or lt. or am I being a baby?

Thanks

I am using RT bars on my K75.
I did made some adjustments on them.
How to find the good adjustment?
Seat on the bike in the position that you like to ride (straight or a bit forward....)
bring your arms down in a natural way and see the position of your hands.
Bend the handle bar to fit the position of your hands.
If you bring the bars closer to you, you may need a set of bar- back or some risers. It may make the difference between comfort and discomfort

Thanks for the reply , When you say bend the bars do you mean pull them back, or bend the pipe? When I have them at a good high't then my wrists are at a odd angle, so bending the grips out- forward would help. How would one do such a thing?

Thanks, Brian

You remove the bars from the bike, put them in a wise and using a long pipe you try to bend them to fit the perfect angle for your wrists.
I would recommand to make a template to get the both sides at the same angle.

Ok, I pulled of the bars, but I had to cut the heated grip wirers. I also had to use heat to get them to bend. I did bend them though ,and with a quick try, and I think they will be good . I also dropped the small screw from the switch cover down under the air box, so that took a little time to find. I'll let you know how they work, I'm not putting the grip wirers back till I know if I really like the fit.
Thanks
Brian
