All I can suggest is to keep an eye on fleabay. There was a set for$125, apparently he is stupid because he thinks we are stupid.

I have a set of 1x1 bar backs (1"up and 1" back), new in box. Make me an offer (hint, I paid US$90).

Just asked a guy with the same K100 special on Facebook and he said it only helped a bit to bring the bars back, makes the steering sluggish also.   I think I will work on changing the bars and relocating the mirrors this summer.  Thanks for the offer  Very Happy

You need to be careful buying barbacks.  If they're made for a K then they'll have holes drilled and tapped in the front of them so that you can bring the dash pad back with the bars.

Kind of spendy but A&A carries them: http://www.ascycles.com/detail.aspx?ID=1349

Thanks Duck...would be nice to just find a set of bars that would work?  I don't really want to raise the bars just bring them to a comfortable reach...

At one time I used a bit of 25mm alloy flatbar about 16mm thick that was bent to take the ignition pad, I went to a local wreckers yard and bought some bar clamps from a late 70's dt400 yamaha, they the upper and lower bar clamps came off as a set, completely off the top tripleclamp, might be possible to do the same today if old trail bikes are being wrecked out your way. Might give you a chance to workout how much rearward movement you need in your bars, before buying store bought items
