Hi all Name is Chris I am in Melbourne Australia and I have owned a number of K100's...  Just spent the Winter restoring an 84 K100RS which is now ready to go back on the road.  Last thing to do was put a kit through the master cylinder and bleed the brakes.  All good except I only had a small amount of thread left in the master cylinder outlet, which of course stripped completely out when doing it up.  So...Anyone out there have a spare master cylinder in the shed or know someone in Melbourne who can put a helicoil in the bloody thing?  Any help is much appreciated

Hi Chris and welcome.

With your history I'm sure you are aware of BM Motorcycles in Ringwood and Discount M/C wreckers in Coburg.
Just thought I'd mention them.
Good luck with your project.

Cheers,

Thanks for the welcome and suggestions.  I try to steer clear of BM motorcycles in Ringwood, dear as poison, a better one is K & R motorcycles in Cheltenham BMW specialist and a top feller. (also better prices)  I can get a new one from the UK at almost half the price I can get it here, ridiculous but true, anyway I will go and see Phil at K & R on Monday and see what he can do.  Getting antsy to have her back on the road now that it is warmer.
