Bought these lights the 18w Led to mount to nose of upper fairing, however they weigh a little under 2lbs each, any suggestions? I am wondering if I may need to put a little metal reinforcement strip to help with the weight or just mount one in the center?

if you mount one in the centre ...it might interfere with the wheel - fender as you brake ...
go carefully

but I would reinforce the bolt through the fiberglass with plates either side

I took something similar off an 8v RS fairing I acquired some time ago. Obviously I have no idea how long they'd been on there but the fairing wasn't cracked. That said, if it had been me mounting them then yes, I'd have reinforced the mounting with metal plates.

And Charlie's right - do NOT try to mount one in the centre. Most of the time you'll be okay, but that first emergency stop will almost certainly smash the light into the mudguard.

Wolf, I'd certainly agree with Charlie and Dai, reinforcement of the mountings is highly recommended. Try and spread the contact point as broad as you can to save any undue stresses on body work.
I'm not sure how big those lights of yours are , but if you need extra room , try mounting a length of angle 25mm x 25mm ( 30mm if needed) under your nose cone to help move them out to a safer position . you will notice a couple of bikes in the recent Sydney Koffee trip with lights mounted under the Kone.
good luck with your endeavours.

I just bought 2 of these. They are good quality, very compact and light 188g (6.7oz) and a good price. I've not mounted them yet.

PS you can get to the inside easily so the tube mounting can be ditched and just bolt straight thru onto a bracket

My plans to mount on cone, arrows indicate where I am mounting, plates shown with star where I will drill the hole and the plates will be cut to fit the inside and outside of the fairing

At 2lb each (that's 1.8kg) I think you'll be having problems in the future. I reckon the added load will stress the fairing mounting points not to mention the joints in the fairing. It's common enough for the fairing to break at those points at the fairing bracket. Would be a shame to damage that nice fairing.

I had a look at those lights on ebay and to me they look like work lights and at 18W not all that bright for the road at night. 1260lm is about what mine dim down too at ½ power and mine are only 180gm each.

If you mount each lamp independantly you will get more movement and more stress. GroverK above suggested a bar across teh two mounting points. GOOD IDEA. That will strengthen the mounting considerably by connecting the two together, reducing movement and vibration and spreading the load. I would use some aluminium extrusion about 35x12x3mm across the bottom between the two and a piece of the same on each side inside. The more holes you drill the weaker the mount will be. Two bolts each side would be sufficient imo.

Additionally, I would be reinforcing the fairing inside with fibreglassing and bed the pre-drilled inside brackets to that. Then an easy task when set to drill thru the fairing. Make sure the fibreglass sets slowly and cures for a few day to make sure its good and strong.

I would also see if it was possible to support them from the fairing bracket inside also. Just a thought. I'm not familiar with the inside of an RS fairing.

These might be suitable

At 3000Lm they should be fairly bright. I don't think they're actually 125W. That's just marketing hype... 15W
There's no weight listed but they look similar to mine but without the cage so maybe around 200gm. I posted mine above.
You can take the bar mount off and bolt directly.
There are plenty of options out there, you just need to look around.
Cheers

They look very compact.

Difficult to believe those others are 1½lb. Where did you read that. I couldn't see any weight specs anywhere.
