so ive bought a k100 from 84 with a engine that is not working, and it came with an extra engine from 1998. 

ive swapped all the wires to match the wires with my from and thats been going well, but ive noticed the 1998 model hasnt got gas valve sensor (i think its that)
here are some pictures to clarify.

so on the newer engine its just this:

so do i need to place the sensor on the newer engine? because i have the wires for it..
