Hi just got a speedo cluster from a 1985 k100 rs, problem is the rev counter is reading 0 revs on tick over, is there a way of adjusting it to my old bikes revs?

My bike is a k100 1988 8v

Yes the rev counter works, but seems to be 500 revs lower?

Is there a way or calibrating it?

The PCB for the fuel level warning lamp(s) is also different, so need move that over from your old tacho as well.
This is a half moon shaped PCB on the behind of the tacho.

A few things; The tacho gets its signal from the ignition coils, so make sure the connectors/contacts of the thin wires under them are properly cleaned (as all other contacts in the system). There can be two issues; the range is wrong which for me means there is an electrical issue in the speedo, or there is a more mechanical issue where the needle has been shifted on the shaft (where's your 'zero'??) or what has happened as well is that the screen print has come loose below the needle and is restricting its movement.

Well I think I have fixed the issue with your help...... Cool

There is a small pot on the top of the pcb, i adjusted it and it now reads a 1,000 revs at tick over, just as per my last tacho.

Many thanks for your help. Very Happy

Andy
