Is it documented anywhere or has anyone carried out exact measurments on how much oil (in CC) does the viewing glass represent?

Do the lower and upper half represent, each, an exact half of that?

Haynes say that from the bottom to the top of the circle is 600ml; but whether 300 to half way they say nothing, and I say; ´dunno´.
