I have been stalking poor folks online again.

Picked on one poor chap from Woollamia. Jim is selling a very nice K75.

I had been in contact with him before when he had the bike listed and invited him on a ride. I think I posted his comments somewhere. He has crook knees and can't ride far.

Short version, a meet up for a coffee at a place to be determined (somewhere near to him. Nowra?)
Down via Waz'z place. Back via RT'z place.

Who wants to come? One Sunday some time in the next few months? Before Ninja Gully.

My bike's in bits, leaky fuel tank, leaky brake caliper , trying to put new T/B rubbers in, found a dodgy sealed injector and me dog's got a crook leg.

sounds like an enjoyable morning out, hope Jim doesn't mind putting on the scones and latte's,
seems Tackler has spotted a good buy as well. maybe the northerners could do a forum coffee ride to coincide with Rossko's ride. compare notes.
I'm expecting you would need to decide your preferred riding position before purchase . the 75 c appears more upright , with higher bars.
screens look about the same, is there much difference in the engine and output.

so far, so good for this one.

What's the possibility of one of you fine young fella's getting a close up pic of the screen brackets of that bike.
I can find a screen but brackets are like hen's teeth, so I plan to make my own. 

Just need the idea.

Yes Woollamia is a good place, that’s one reason that I live here and it is only about 20 minutes from Nowra, which could be a good place to meet. If you come to Nowra though you would have already had a pretty good ride, especially if you take the scenic route via Seacliff Bridge.
I would have a short ride to Nowra to met you, but if you like we could all go to Kangaroo Valley, I could go back home and the “tragics” take the Hume Hwy home.
A good place to meet in Nowra would be the Nowra RSL where there is good parking and a great smorgasbord for $12 for seniors with a big variety of food.
There are a lot of other possibilities of course such as meet at my place have a cruise on a dolphin watch boat and lunch at Huski RSL.
Another thought, meet at Nowra and ride out to Pt Perpendicular lighthouse with a 300 ft high view of Jervis Bay and rocks, an island and Tasman sea,
Almost any Sunday would suit me but weekend traffic of the Sydney hordes might be a nuisance for your mob.
Have a think and let me know. I will try to fit in with your plans.

Easter is Sunday 20th April so probably cross (pun intended) that out.

If you don't mind keep me in the loop for Woolamia if any of the Hunter krew are heading down. It's the weekend before Nindigully which I'm intending to go to, but maybe a quick run (even if it is overnight) might be just the warm up before heading north. I just need to do some domestic diplomacy i.e. rack up some brownie points, before then.

Because it's my job to be negative, here's a couple.
The road over Mt. Camberwarra is going to be closed from 5th-7th May inclusive for some reason, ruling out a jaunt through Fitzroy Falls. The only other way down from the Southern Highlands is Jamberoo Pass (recently upgraded and no trucks but lots of grannies in tiny cars) or Macquarie Pass with relevant Ducati and Hyosilverbashems trying to kill themselves. Jamberoo Mountain road comes out at Kiama (great ice cream and raisin toast). Macquarie Pass comes out at Albion Park, headquarters of the 4th Reich ubercyclist club, and nothing else.
Parking in Berry on a weekend, especially if something is on, is the pits.

Apart from that, should be a good ride, see you there.

I had thoughts of a speedy trip on Sunday morning down the Hume to Mittagong , so as not to hold any one up for a jaunt through the Valley.
Bob  does this mean that Fitzroy Falls and the road to Berry will be closed on the 4th?
I was so much looking forward to the run through those hills.
as there may be some staying at RT's on Saturday night , where is the best place for a sunday morning rendezvous?

Warren , depending on others , I'm flexible and can meet near Casula for the fast run down, or along the Princes Highway near Sutherland or Heatcote, with a run down through Stanwell and the coast. quite picturesque but slower.
any other thoughts for Sunday?
It seems that Jim still has his K75 posted for sale, but I have known advertisers to leave things posted after selling.

There is plenty of room at our place for anyone wanting to crash on Saturday night (crash as in stay here, not  well you know) don't have too many beds but lounge, truck shed, lounge chairs, van. Just in case anyone wants.
There isn't much accommodation in town as it's hicksville here. We have a butcher,baker, bottle shop and BBQ, can't think of anything else needed.(VD clinic had to close, no customers).

Ed, I have asked Warren C to add a comment to the forum page.

Heathcote seems to be the spot.
Railway carpark is big enough to do a u turn without putting your feet down so should suit all levels of riders   

I believe the next stop is down near Waz, then onwards and southwards.

Mr Klompy needs a break and I think I have convinced him to come down Sunday.

Rickmeister, Tommeister and Gazzerino are heading down Friday then crashing the seal club on Saturday.

Don't mind either the Heathcote station carpark or Heathcote Caltex, only a hundred metres apart. Servo has plenty of room and toilets if needed.

Quick heads up though on sunday there is a thing called wings over Illawarra which is a poo load of Aerophiles ooooing and aaaahhhing at aero go uppities......and all the associated traffic...so HJ's at Albion park rail may be a bit congested, BUT I WILL BE THERE AT 9...HOPEFULLY.

Or if not Iwill see you at 11 at RSL at Nowra or one of the other places as we head south is good....went down that way with work today and the roads are good and the red blue double bubbles also thick on the ground....beware...and of course a few cameras with no expressions just bright smiles.

Weather forcast for Illawarra tomorrow morning is light rain, pack your wet gear, then clearing to a nice day tops of 18 perfect RT touring tempratures. Ulli, Tom, Rosko and RT last seen settling in at pub.

Nice to see Waz putting out the good word for the weather down south for tomorrow. I had the pleasure this morning of meeting RT and Mrs T after Rick had carefully guided Tom & I around a few streets in the vicinity of RT's place. I suspect he wanted us to take advantage of the opportunity of practising our U turns on wet roads that are current partially gravel due to roadwork, all at a balmy 6 deg C.

Once the bikes were parked under cover at RT's place we were able to adjourn to the shed where RT was keeping up with tradition having a fire going to comfort us while we enjoyed the scones - Rossco arrived in the nick of time with the strawberry jam.

I planned on waiting for the day to warm up before making a break for home but by noon the thermometer was steadfastly refusing to move above 6 deg C (but the rain had eased) so I bid farewell to the hardy group tearing a red naked K100 to pieces. A 300 kilometre burst of practice riding in cold gale force winds and showers had me home after 2 days of good kompany and varied !!! riding conditions.


3 K's that look as if they might belong to used carpet salesmen behind the Mittagong Pub on Friday night.

Well done fellas...spent the last few days inside..bloody cold with a bloody cold.

just got home after a top day out, thanks to all for the company and to Rossko for the invite.
Didn't get to meet Jim today , not sure what he was up to. anyway although the weather brought some solid gusts and freshness in the air , we managed to at least 10 K's out and about for the weekend. 7 of which enjoyed a little jaunt around the southern Highlands today.

 Rossko had us heading to our next rendezvous at Nowra to join newbie  Bill, from Goulburn ,
 it was good to meet up with you Bill, hope you enjoyed the Komeraderie of the Knuthaus.

enjoyed some nice twisties on route to a top lunch at Kangaroo Valley,

Klompy , RossKKo, Tom , Rickmeister, RT, Bill , Warren C and Waz.

 this is where we mostly went different ways , 
there were suggestions of Bundanoon , Moss Vale and Robertson by some , due to other appointments , Warren C and myself headed back to Sydney via Berry,

along the way I couldn't help but capture a bit of RT's backyard.
some very nice twisty bits in them hills. very enjoyable.  


the strong winds had left quite a few thick branches strewn across the heavily shadowed narrow winding road , some anxious moments along the way.
caught a brief glimpse of Waz's K heading back past Kiama. this was where Warren and I stopped for a well earnt Koffee. alas no sKones ...!
  finally found a good spot away from the brisk breeze to air the forum T-shirt as well.


 thanks to warren for his splendid directions to get me to Chatswood over the crowded Harbour Bridge ( night works ), made it in time mate , thanks.

can't wait to see the results of Seans Ninja run next weekend.
