What Olaf did have in mind was the thin mats thats protects the silicone when cooking.

What Olaf did have in mind was the thin mats thats protects the silicone when cooking.

I wasn't aware that what I posted two days ago, "Silicone hose" and "Cut it lengthwise, slip it over the leg and tie it with some wire."  doesn't translate into Danish. 

I'm sorry I didn't take detailed photos of my stand where it hit the Remus muffler on my K100 and I stopped it with the hose.

No. It's designed to keep the heat in to help increase engine power but needs to be used alongside other engine tuning mods as well. These days it's used more for pretty looks.
