Hello everyone.

I’m so delighted to be introducing myself to this forum as it is one of the reason I have just bought myself a 1994 K75 RT (yet to be delivered).  I’m returning to K bikes after having owned a 75S back in the 80's, which was essential my first ‘big bike’. So many great memories of that bike but it was quite a loooong time ago so I'm wondering how much of my recent purchase is nostalgia speaking!. The aim now, with a bit more time on my hands, is to attempt more of my own maintenance, which I think is half the joy of owning and riding these bikes.  With limited experience, I have to confess to a few nerves and suspect there is a lot of ‘failing forward’ to come, but I take comfort in the fact that there is such a strong and accessible community of people, all interested in the same thing and willing to offer help and support - especially in these difficult Covid-19, restricted times (enjoying our 3rd lockdown here in Oxford).

Looking forward to some happy hours in the company of the K crew.

Thanks in advance.

Howdy Samgage & welKome to the best brick forum on the planet.

I too was a (late) 80's K owner and think they just get better with age if left pretty stock.

You've made the right choice returning to a K  cheers

Welcome! About 45,000 miles ago a 1994 K75RT in Mystic Red came into my garage. We've had a lot of adventures since then and I'm looking forward to many more in the event we are ever allowed to leave home again.

With the resources here, I'm pretty sure you'll find that showering TLC on your machine can be almost as satisfying as putting massive amounts of pavement behind you.

In better times I visit my daughter in London and my route from Pembroke takes me via Oxford. Nice to see another K along the way. Sadly no idea of any travel dates for the foreseeable future.
