hmmm...feel a bit stupid asking this but I just can´t figure it out. Do I really need to remove the radiator to change the airfilter on a RS16V. I cant figure out how to get the top part of the Air-filter box lifted high enough to rempoe the filter. Any good suggestions would be appreciated...

I had the same grief when I first got the K. Ready to pull the whole air box apart (hours of work!) There are four clips that hold the top and bottom bits together. Undo the clips and the airfilter simply slides out.

I forget if the radiator hose needs to be removed.

Rickmeister.

As Ulrich_Grabau suggests above - it is a very tight squeeze though and the spring clips are a sod to get back on - good luck Wink

Problem is that the isolation bulkhead rubber pushes the top of the airbox down. UIn order to slide the filter out you need to undo the (IIRC 3) clamps and lift the top part just a tiny bit, then the filter slides out. If you have a spare one it'll become clear. Note the indications regarding top (and front??).

by the way - just cross the border south a few km (Neumünster, Treia ) it is not that far

a lot guys know to handle the below mentioned prob!

have a look on the lower part for the clips pos 14

You remove the Upper part to the right side

if it´s open:

have a real honest look to the rear side of the throttles

everything ! made of rubber is usualy worn

inkl fuel tubes

that causes air leaks and poor running

I know - you only want to change the filter but I bet .... if that has not been done in the past

all needed spares for that : you find there , german but no. & links are usable

This pics is an 1100 K but that doesn´t matter, the drawings are K100 16V
