Hi, I am going to check valve clearances on my K75. I have a feeler gauge set that has both brass and steel leaves. I just wanted to know if there are any concerns using the brass leaves instead of steel. Or is it arbitrary?

Hi there, found this on the net "The first generation of electronic ignition systems had a requirement to set the air gap between the reluctor and the pickup. It had to be set with a non ferrous metal gauge. That is why the brass blade in a feeler gauge set."
Didnt know that too.
Best regards
JAP
