Hello,

I am a proud owner of my first bike BMW K100RS and I had a leaky clutch. I ordered a part but unfortunately that was for the hydraulic not cable clutch (the right black plastic in pictures).

I am unable to locate the thrust piston (in pictures, grey one on the left) part number. Can anyone help?

Thank you!

That part is supposed to have gear oil on it and there is supposed to be gear oil inside of the rubber boot around it. The transmission gear oil lubricates the thrust stuff.

If it is leaking on the ground there then either the end of the clutch arm is not properly seated in the metal ring at the back of the clutch boot or the boot is torn/leaking and needs to be replaced.

That right black plastic part is the new-style, one-piece clutch piston. It works on all classic Bricks including yours, and is all you need. You can replace your original with it. If your clutch rod has a bushing (#14 on diagram) on it, it should be removed. Read the instruction on the enclosed fiche images from MAX BMW. My Brick has that new-style piston.

To confirm, I have removed part number 14 from my pushrod and it does fit nicely. Do I need a Newer pushrod as well as stated in Kpartsholland.com or will the old one do the trick?

I have ordered a new clutch boot yet it has no metal O ring as in my original boot. It's mostly hardened plastic. I will try to assemble this and see if it works. Hope not to burst it again.

Don't lose item (5) above - you'll need it to secure the new boot. Beware; it's a real PITA to get back on.

Haha, it will definitely be a pain in the ass but definitely worth it. I just love my brick too much!

What I read in the fiche instructions I provided is that if you could remove the bushing (part #14), you don't need a new clutch push rod.

Yes, that is exactly what I thought. Thank you for the information by the way. I really appreciate it!
